Med Viajar.
In 2019, our founder watched a close family friend navigate knee replacement surgery in Panama City entirely alone — struggling with language barriers, confusing hospital billing, and no support for the logistics of recovery. The surgery went well. The experience around it didn't have to be so hard.
Med Viajar was founded with one purpose: to make world-class medical care in Panama genuinely accessible to international patients — not just in theory, but in practice. From the airport transfer to the post-op phone call with your doctor back home.
Today our team of bilingual coordinators has supported patients from over 15 countries, working with Panama City's leading JCI-accredited hospitals and internationally trained specialists. Every patient gets a named coordinator. Every case is handled personally.
